Jersey Shore Traffic Net

The Jersey Shore Traffic Net meets nightly at 7 :30 PM on the JSARS' 146.910 Repeater (PL 127.3).

To check in all that’s needed is your callsign, name, and location. To actually check in wait for a break, call "net control", let the carrier drop, listen for doubling. Then say your callsign, name, location, and "No traffic" if you do not have a message to send. If you do have traffic to bring to the net indicate so during your check-in. The Net Controller will note this and look for someone to pick up the traffic. Once someone agrees to pick up the traffic, the net controller will assist you in passing the traffic.

This is a training net, no prior experience needed. Questions, comments, and announcements are always welcome, in addition to traffic to be passed. If you have a question, comment, or an announcement state so instead of saying no traffic.

There is always a net control station and he or she will be glad guide you and help you through the traffic net.

Please; 

               Listen (to ensure that the channel is not in use)

                Press your push-to-talk and say  "Net Control"

                Let go of the push-to-talk and let the repeater drop the link

                Listen (to ensure that no one else is using the link)

                Press the push-to-talk and say; "Net control this is (Your Callsign) with traffic or no traffic.

                This is the place to let the "Net Control" know that you have announcements or queries (questions).
