READING OF MINUTES Secretary, John, KC2KTH, read minutes from the last meeting. Motion to accept by Chris, K2HVE, seconded by John, N2LGS.

TREASURY REPORT Tom, KD9BVC, gave treasury report, [DETAIL]. Motion to accept by Jerry, K2MD, seconded by John, N2LGS.

TRAFFIC NET REPORT for month of January presented by Tom, KD9BVC. Motion to accept by Jerry, K2MD and seconded by Chris, K2HVE.

LOCAL NEWS AND RADIO REPORT

Chris and Jerry provided various updates from Winter Field Day results and on upcoming radio events/contests

Jerry provided an update regarding the “Emergency Preparedness Act” being reintroduced. This act, if passed to law, would provide protections from HOA restrictions for radio amateurs regarding antenna size and location.

Jim, WA2RJP, provided an update on the status of our club repeaters. The 440 repeater is still awaiting repairs, all others are operational.

Clothing donation update – recipient organization to be identified

Clubhouse downstairs to be cleaned out by club once upstairs painting is done

NEW BUSINESS

Upcoming Cherryville hamfest in March

VOTEC connection – follow up with instructor to see if there are opportunities to collaborate

Contact org that publishes TR Times, Manchester Times, etc. re opportunities to publicize the club

Other promotion ideas including ShopRite or table at county fair, local library program, Manchester/TR “Day” events, contact American Legion on Church Rd and other orgs
